Collect the shield!

If you’re not quite up for collecting the 29 London 2012 Olympic 50ps, or even completing the Coin Hunt, here’s a much easier coin collecting challenge!

The United Kingdom’s latest definitive coin designs were created by Matt Dent in 2008, after a public competition. He created a design based on the Royal shield of arms, but few people realise that you can actually piece together the complete shield design, as seen on the £1 coin, using the other coins, from the 1p to 50p, like a jig-saw!

Why is no one selling a nice collector’s display shield for people to add their own coins? Everything I’ve found already has the coins–it’s expensive & where’s the fun in that?
