Information for collectors from the brand new Royal Mint blog

The Royal Mint produces all the coins in circulation in the UK, and we’ve been doing it for more than 1100 years. Even though we have such a long history, 2012 is a year unlike any other for collectors of British coins. Because of this, The Royal Mint is using this year to reignite the British passion for coins and to encourage more people to start collections and to value the treasure in their pockets!

As well as this blog, you can keep in touch with us through this blog, through our Facebook page and on Twitter.

If you’re already collecting, whether that means Olympic 50ps from your change or gold proof sets, get in touch and share your experiences with coins! We are waiting to hear from you!
