Design your own Sovereign at The Royal Mint Experience

Today is St George’s Day!

St George has been the Patron Saint of England since Medieval times and is also the iconic figure who features on The Sovereign, the world’s oldest surviving coin still in production.

The exquisite design by Benedetto Pistrucci, features St George and the Dragon, and this week the RME’s Design a Coin workshop is asking visitors to draw their own interpretation of our flagship product during the daily Design a coin workshops.

We’ve had some wonderful entries so far:

The workshops will run between Monday 22nd April and Sunday 28th April, as part of the tour.
