The London 2012 Olympic Archery 50p was designed by Piotr Powaga. The reverse design consists of a bow being drawn, with the London 2012 Paralympic logo above and the denomination “50 PENCE” below.

Piotr is an agronomist who lives in Yorkshire with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he is a keen calligrapher and enjoys creating new letter forms and logos. In his design for Archery, Piotr used his wife to model the action of pulling a bow in order to capture the energy that is generated before the arrow is released.
